The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process for becoming a Roman Catholic for anyone who has reached third grade level or older.

RCIA names the process by which interested persons gradually become members of the Catholic Church.

Those who are unbaptized, baptized in other faith traditions, or those baptized Catholic who never received Eucharist or Confirmation may participate in RCIA.

Baptized Catholics who have received the Eucharist and need only the Sacrament of Confirmation should participate in the Adult Confirmation class.

The process is a little different for those already baptized in the Christian faith. The length of the process might be shorter for those already very knowledgeable about their Christian faith.

We have separate groups for children, teens, and adults in the RCIA process. We operate on a year-round schedule so those interested can begin the process at any time.
